Role PurposeÂ
We are looking for an experienced and driven Group Accounting & Reporting Leader to shape and elevate our international finance function, combining deep IFRS expertise with strategic vision and a passion for transformation.
In this role, you will partner closely with senior leadership, lead a high-performing team in Porto, and drive excellence across Group reporting, consolidation, governance, audit, and complex accounting matters. You will play a key role in standardizing and centralizing processes, advancing automation and digitalization initiatives, supporting acquisitions and integrations, and ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Group Accounting & Reporting Leadership
·      Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation process in compliance with IFRS
·      Ensure quality, completeness and integrity of financial data across all entities
·      Review and challenge local submissions and closing packages
·      Oversee preparation of IFRS financial statements and disclosures
Accounting Policies & Technical Expertise
·      Own the Group accounting policies and reporting manual
·      Act as single point of contact for complex technical accounting matters
·      Manage IFRS updates, interpretation and implementation
·      Assess accounting treatment of complex transactions (M&A, restructuring, financing, etc.)
SSC Porto Leadership & Process Ownership
·      Lead and develop the Group Accounting & Reporting team based in Porto
·      Drive standardization and centralization of accounting processes of Unilabs markets into the SSC
·      Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with Group policies
·      Implement and monitor KPIs and service quality metrics
Transformation & Systems
·      Drive continuous improvement of the finance operating model
·      Lead initiatives related to ERP (D365), consolidation tools (Tagetik) and automation
·      Improve reporting timelines, data quality and process efficiency
·      Support the digitalization of accounting processes
Audit & Governance
·      Lead the Group external audit process and act as main point of contact for auditors
·      Ensure readiness and quality of supporting documentation
·      Audit & Risk Committee and Board reporting and presentation
·      Strengthen internal control environment and compliance framework
Projects & M&A Integration
·      Lead accounting aspects of acquisitions, integrations and reorganizations
·      Support due diligence and post-acquisition accounting alignment
·      Ensure proper implementation of Group standards for new entities
General Responsibilities
·      Lead and develop a high-performing international team
·      Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement
·      Coordinate cross-functional finance processes across geographies
·      Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements

Experience & Qualifications
·      Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
·      Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred
·      Minimum 10–12 years of experience, including:
o  Significant experience in IFRS reporting and consolidation
o  Experience in multinational and/or SSC environments
o  Background in Big 4 audit strongly preferred
·      Proven experience in team management and leadership
·      Demonstrated exposure to complex projects (M&A, transformation, systems)

·      Deep knowledge of IFRS and Group reporting requirements
·      Strong understanding of internal controls and financial processes
·      Experience with ERP systems (D365 preferred) and consolidation tools (Tagetik highly valued)
·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
