ABOUT THE ROLE


This is a part-time position, scheduled to work 20 hours per week. Candidates must reside in the state of California.The Clinical Coordinator, School of Education is the liaison for the University and school districts for placing credential candidates in clinical settings. The Clinical Coordinator oversees and maintains the University Clinical Supervisors assignments. In coordination with the Assistant Director of Clinical Practice, the Clinical Coordinator will arrange and be the leader in arranging, developing, and delivering fieldwork orientations for education credential candidates. The Clinical Coordinator will serve as a liaison with School of Education designees, working closely with education program faculty and staff to assure comprehensive service to credential candidates.
TYPE OF SUPERVISION:Â
Receive general supervision from the Assistant Director, Clinical Practice.
General Supervision — indicates that the incumbent performs a variety of duties; some of which may be complex duties within established policy guidelines; and receives occasional supervision.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Â Â
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Â
Liaison with local school districts. Identify and contact schools/districts to place student teachers and other education credential candidates, in accordance with CTC requirements.
Assign University Clinical Supervisors to fieldwork students
Participate in training of University Clinical Supervisors
Follow up on (a) University Clinical Supervisors and their evaluations of candidates; (b) Candidates and their evaluations of University Clinical Supervisors and district supervisors, i.e., master teachers; (c) District supervisors and their evaluations of candidates and University Clinical SupervisorsÂ
Conduct orientation with University Clinical Supervisors and candidates prior to commencing fieldwork so that all are aware of expectations as described in the various program Clinical Experience Handbooks.Â
In coordination with the University Clinical Supervisor and the district supervisor, counsel and develop action plans for candidates who are experiencing difficulty in fieldwork. Notify the Assistant Director of Clinical Practice as to the additional support being provided, and the response to it.
Identify school districts needing agreements and notify the Central Office of any changes or issues.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES:
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
5+ plus years teaching experience at the K-12 level
Experience working with credential candidates in a university setting
Current California teaching credential required
Current administrative services credential desired.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of CTC Common Standards and Program Standards, as they apply to clinical fieldwork, is required.Â
Working knowledge of the Cal TPAs and Cal APAs is also required.
Ability to develop and maintain databases
Ability to effectively work within a collaborative environment
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in appropriate field or equivalent
K-12 administration experience 3+ years, preferably as a department head, principal, program director, or superintendent
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices and Software: Â Ability to use a personal computer, Microsoft Office software, printers, and typical office equipment.

Contact with Faculty and/or Staff: Â Frequent
Contact with Community and Vendors: Frequent
The hiring range for this position is $24.00 - $28.90 per hour.Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographical location, knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
