About the role
As a Senior Accounting Associate, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of corporate clients in Athens - keeping their accounts accurate, their tax obligations met, and their financials audit-ready. Increasingly, you'll be the person they call for a straight answer on the things that matter. It's hands-on, with senior-level responsibility from day one, in a team that takes the technical side seriously.

- Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering full-cycle accounting and tax services.
- Prepare VAT returns, Corporate Income Tax returns, and financial statements.
- Keep records compliant with Greek accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Support external audits - preparing documentation and coordinating with audit teams.
- Build genuine, advisory relationships with clients and stay ahead of their needs.
- Spot where processes can be tighter or faster, and improve them.
- Review the work of junior associates and help bring them up to speed.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients on more complex tax and accounting questions.
What you bring
- At least 4 years of accounting experience, ideally in an accounting firm.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Class B Accountant License (Άδεια Λογιστή Β' Τάξης) - required. Class A is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience with VAT returns, Corporate Income Tax returns, and financial statements.
- Strong accounting software and Excel skills; familiarity with Epsilon Net is a plus.

- A sharp eye for detail, the ability to juggle multiple clients without dropping deadlines, and the judgment to flag problems early and bring solutions.
What we offer
- Open, fair pay: a salary matched to your experience and licence, discussed openly from the first conversation - and reviewed as you take on more.
- Performance bonus: the chance to earn a performance bonus after your first year.
- One day a week from home.
- Time to keep developing: educational leave for studies related to the profession, so you can keep building your qualifications without putting your career on hold.
- Real mentoring: you'll learn directly from experienced accountants and partners.
- International exposure: collaboration across UHY's network in 100+ countries.
- A team you'll actually enjoy: regular social events, not just a desk and a deadline list.
