ABOUT THE POSITIONÂ
United for Respect (UFR) is seeking an Electoral Organizer to join our Civic Engagement Team. Our campaign is seeking to grow the leadership of low wage workers by empowering volunteers, activist leaders, and supporters to organize their communities around the upcoming elections. Electoral organizers are responsible for empowering volunteers and supporters to engage voters and organize their own personal networks (friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, etc.) in order to win for working families at the ballot box.Â

What You’ll Be Doing:Â
- Utilize digital tools and databases including phone banking, text banking, and 1:1 meetings, to recruit, mobilize, and train a diverse group of UFR leaders, members, and supporters statewide to make phone calls, send texts, and write letters to elect chosen candidates.Â
- Track all volunteer outreach and engagement in EveryAction/VAN and submit daily reports.Â
- Plan and execute organizing actions, events, and trainings, including phone banks, text banks, virtual meetings, and friend-to-friend organizing events.Â
- Develop relationships with Coordinated Campaign partners and other progressive leaders in the community and work with them on events and activities.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â
What You Will Bring:Â
- At least two (2) cycles of electoral work, one (1) cycle of distributed organizing strongly preferredÂ
- Ability to multitask, create and achieve goals, meet deadlines and creatively solve problems in a fast-paced work environmentÂ
- Proficiency using digital tools such as the GetThru Suite, VAN/EveryAction, & Google Suite ToolsÂ
- Excellent interpersonal skills and listening skillsÂ
- Successful experience working with teams representing a rich mix of talent, backgrounds and perspectivesÂ
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyÂ
- Strong willingness to learn and adaptÂ
- Ability to take feedback and implement changes in real timeÂ
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detailÂ
- Experience working or volunteering on electoral, union, or community organizing campaignsÂ
Pay Range:$5000/monthly, plus $500/monthly healthcare stipend. This is a contract position throughNovember 30, 2026.
