As a People Partner in Transportation, you will lead key human resources functions within a fast-paced distribution environment, ensuring associates are supported, developed, and empowered to succeed. This role offers the opportunity to influence business outcomes through talent, compliance, culture, and operational excellence.

The People Partner in Transportation serves as a strategic partner to operations leaders, helping create a safe, productive, and inclusive workplace for associates. We support staffing, associate engagement, leadership development, compliance, and talent initiatives that enable the facility to meet operational goals while fostering a culture of belonging, integrity, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do...


  • Lead HR operations, including staffing, onboarding, associate relations, benefits, payroll, and employment lifecycle processes.
  • Partner with facility leadership to execute workforce strategies that support operational and business goals.
  • Coach and develop leaders and associates through performance management, training, and career growth opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, safety requirements, and company standards.
  • Drive associate engagement, community involvement, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.


What you'll bring...
  • Experience leading HR functions in a distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or high-volume operational environment.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, associate relations, and workforce management practices.
  • Proven ability to coach leaders, resolve complex employee issues, and influence business decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive results.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while building strong partnerships with leaders and associates.

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field and 2 years HR Generalist experience (e.g., payroll, workers compensation, benefits) with at least one year supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees OR 1 year experience as a Walmart Logistics Human Resources Area Manager or Walmart Human Resources Office Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates, including dealing with employment compensation/payroll processing, employee relations, recruiting/staffing, organizational planning, and/or training and development programs OR 3 years experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees, managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees including one year of experience managing human resource processes (e.g., staffing, payroll, workers compensation, benefits)
