We are currently seeking candidatesĀ for adjunct faculty positions teachingĀ undergraduateĀ criminal justiceĀ courses. Under the direction of the Chair of theĀ Department of Criminal Justice, this positionĀ is responsible forĀ teaching undergraduateĀ criminal justiceĀ courses. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative department that prepares students for graduate study and meaningful careers in criminal justice and related fields.Ā TheĀ Department of Criminal Justice values excellence in teaching, diverse perspectives, and service that makes a positive impact.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for teaching undergraduate criminal justice courses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in theĀ Department of Criminal Justice and throughout the university.
  • Adapt and align course materials using departmental syllabus templates,Ā requiredĀ text(s), and other resources.
  • Provide regular andĀ timelyĀ feedback on student work.
  • Follow department and university policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Master's degree in criminal justiceĀ or closely relatedĀ fieldĀ 
  • Experience teachingĀ college level criminal justiceĀ courses

  • Ongoing professional development 
  • Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and student-centered learningĀ that is supportive of all learners
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • PhD inĀ a criminal justice field, orĀ doctoral degree in aĀ closely related field  
  • Experience with a variety of pedagogical and technological educational delivery methods
