Security Specialist – Digital Fraud

As aSecurity Specialist – Digital Fraud at Ubisoft Montréal, you will help protect our players and platforms by detecting, understanding, and reducing digital fraud across our ecosystem. Working with large-scale datasets and modern detection tools, you will partner with teams across Data, Engineering, Product, and Production to strengthen fraud prevention capabilities and respond to emerging threats. Your work will contribute directly to a secure and trusted player experience.

What you’ll do

• Explore and interprettransactional and behavioral data to identify fraud patterns, anomalies, and emerging risks
• Build and maintaindashboards and reports using tools such asSplunk,Azure Data Explorer, andDatabricks to monitor fraud trends and key performance indicators
• Investigate and respond todigital fraud threats, including credential stuffing, account takeover, fake account creation, marketplace abuse, and security bypass attempts
• Design and deploydetection rules, alerts, and use cases within fraud monitoring platforms
• Partner withData, Engineering, and Product teams to improve fraud detection systems, risk engines, and workflows
• Performroot cause analysis on fraud incidents and contribute to long-term prevention strategies
• Identify gaps in detection capabilities and support continuous improvement of fraud prevention frameworks
• Supportfraud-related incident response and post-incident reviews
• Shareinsights and recommendations with stakeholders as a trusted subject matter resource

What you bring to the team

• Experience indigital fraud,threat hunting, orfraud risk management
• Hands-on experience withfraud detection systems,risk engines, orsecurity information and event management platforms
• Strong working knowledge ofSQL andPython for data analysis, automation, and investigations
• Experience working withlarge-scale datasets and turning analysis into actionable insights
• Experience developingdetection logic, scoring approaches, or model-driven rules
• Solid understanding of commonfraud and abuse patterns, such as account takeover and automated attacks
• Strongproblem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to explain complex findings clearly to bothtechnical and non-technical audiences
