As aCharacter Artist at UbisoftToronto, you’ll create and refine3D character assets based on concept art and reference materials. You’ll work closely with experienced artists to learn ourproduction pipeline, tools, and workflows, while contributing characters that come to life in game.
This is anentry-level role for someone with a strong foundation in character art, a clear interest in games, and a desire to grow within a supportive, collaborative team.
What you’ll do
- Translate2D concepts and reference images into3D character models
- Buildhigh-poly andlow-poly models that meet artistic and technical expectations
- Create clean,animation-ready meshes that follow deformation and technical guidelines
- Modelclothing, props, accessories, and modular assets
- Unwrap models and produce efficientUV layouts
- Texture assets usingphysically based rendering workflows inSubstance Painter
- Optimize assets to meetperformance and technical requirements
- Apply feedback from experienced artists to refine asset quality
- Follow teamtools, workflows, and pipeline standards
- Contribute to asset variations, background characters, and file cleanup tasks

- Apply knowledge ofclothing construction, fabric behavior, and folds
