As a3D Character Modeler at Ubisoft Montreal, you will create characters, creatures, and animals players interact with. You will combineartistic andtechnical expertise to shape the physical traits that bring our characters to life.
You enjoy building detailed and complex characters. Creatingblend shapes,clean topology, andoptimized meshes is an opportunity for you to grow your skills. You actively seek feedback to refine your work and strengthen the foundations that allow characters to feel alive.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate withart andnarrative teams to understand the game vision
- Reviewconcept art andnarrative guidelines and conduct visual research
- Create and refine characters across the3D pipeline
- Handlemodeling,sculpting,texturing,retopology, andUV unwrapping
- Balancevisual quality withtechnical constraints
- Work closely withrigging andanimation teams to support believable motion
- Iterate based onfeedback from testing and production teams
- Help maintainconsistent visual standards across the project
What you bring to the team
- Strong skills in3D character modeling for games
- Experience with common2D and 3D art tools used in production
- Solid understanding oftopology,materials,textures, andanatomy
- Ability to work withingame-related technical constraints
- Acreative,collaborative, and improvement-focused mindset
- Clearcommunication skills
- Openness tofeedback and iteration
- Familiarity with3D scanning andoptimization, a plus
