Working with our clients across real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources, we transform together delivering outcomes that improve people’s lives. Working in partnership makes it possible to deliver the world’s most impactful projects and programmes as we turn challenge into opportunity and complexity into success.Â
Our capabilities include programme, project, cost, asset and commercial management, controls and performance, procurement and supply chain, net zero and digital solutions.Â
We are majority-owned by CBRE Group, Inc., the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, with our partners holding a significant minority interest. Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier programme, project and cost management offering in markets around the world.Â
Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Product Implementation Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of product development, engineering, and real-world deployment. You will lead the implementation of emerging technologies from early-stage prototypes through to scalable, deployable design standards. Your job is to make sure new products actually work in real environments — not just in theory — and to identify and solve integration challenges before they become costly issues.Â
This is not a traditional construction project management role. You will be working upstream in the development cycle, helping shape how products are designed, tested, and implemented across physical spaces. You will work closely with architecture and engineering teams, vendors, and consultants to validate and implement solutions. The environment is evolving. Many processes are still being built. You will need to be comfortable operating with incomplete information and helping to define the path forward.Â
Responsibilities:Â Â
- Own the implementation path for new products from prototype through standardizationÂ
- Work directly with engineering, product, facilities, security, and operations teams to validate real-world requirements earlyÂ
- Translate prototypes and concepts into deployable solutions that can be installed, maintained, and scaledÂ
- Identify integration risks across physical environments (space constraints, power, network, installation methods, storage, etc.) and drive mitigation plansÂ
- Coordinate with external vendors, manufacturers, and consultants to ensure solutions are viable and executableÂ
- Build and manage the R&D implementation roadmap, ensuring infrastructure and readiness align with product developmentÂ
- Communicate status, risks, and key decisions across stakeholders through written updates, working sessions, and reviewsÂ
- Respond quickly to incoming R&D issues (e.g., design gaps, prototype failures, installation blockers) and drive resolution across teamsÂ
- Independently review drawing sets, submittals, and specifications to identify gaps, risks, and implementation issuesÂ
- Strategic thinking – provide guidance to project teams on approaches to achieve client and business objectivesÂ
- Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is capturedÂ
- Process improvement – identify ways to improve internal systems and processes as they relate to R&D and your team objectivesÂ
- Lead product vetting against design standards, permitting, and code requirementsÂ
- Define and document repeatable standards based on validated solutionsÂ
- Drive final documentation approval with team leads, ensuring standards, specifications, and design outputs are validated prior to releaseÂ
- Facilitate working sessions to align cross-functional teams where requirements are unclear or conflictingÂ
- Document learnings and help shape emerging design standards and processesÂ
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Preferred Experience:
- Mechanical engineering background (strongly preferred)Â
- Experience with R&D environments, labs, or prototyping workflows – vetting and validating products against the client standards, codes, etc.Â
- Background in industrial design or product design validationÂ
- Experience with vendor and external partner managementÂ
- Familiarity with permitting, codes, and compliance considerationsÂ
- Experience working in ambiguous or early-stage programsÂ
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Miro, and AsanaÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience with physical system design/implementationÂ
- 5–8+ years of experience in roles such as:Â
- Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Architecture (with strong technical/build focus & engineering collaboration)Â
- Product implementation / hardware deploymentÂ
- Industrial or systems design tied to physical environmentsÂ
- Experience working with physical products, systems, or infrastructure (not just software or digital products implementation)Â
- Ability to evaluate how products interact with real-world constraints (space, power, installation, environment, maintenance, and access)Â
- Proven ability to take concepts or early-stage designs and make them executable in real-world environmentsÂ
- Strong organizational and management skills – collaborating across multiple disciplines (engineering, operations, vendors, facilities, etc.)Â
- Strong requirements gathering and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Excellent collaboration and communication skillsÂ
- Experience reviewing and providing QA/QC of design drawings, technical documents, and/or product specificationsÂ
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace productsÂ
