General Accountant (strong at Tax Accounting, good at both English & Vietnamese)

Working location: TRG Office: 145-147 Nguyen Co Thach Street, An Loi Dong Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Position Overview

There is no denying the importance of an Accountant to a business. At TRG, you are one of the key players in our very vital department. Your responsibilities are more than just crunching numbers. We have a team of reliable accountants and your scope of work will beGeneral Accountant with a focus on Tax Accounting,reporting to Financial Controller and Chief Accountant.

We believe you possess a high level of integrity, and honesty, and are a professional when handling the confidential data of both TRG and our clients.

Requirements

• Ensure accounting activities of the company are recorded properly according to Vietnamese law and to company requirements
• Manage all Taxation declarations and finalisation (CIT, PIT, VAT, FCT, others)
• Prepare monthly reports (P&L, BS, Cash flow, etc.) required by the authorities and line manager
• Answer tax-related questions for employees, tax authorities, audit organizations, and suppliers when needed
• Back up for other accountants within the accounting team when needed
• Complete other accounting-related requirements from the Chief Accountant, Financial Controller, and Board of Directors

What you need

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a major in Finance – Accounting
• Having CPA Australia, ACCA, or CIMA certificate is preferable
• Around 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably experience in service companies. Experience as a General Accountant before is a plus.
• Good command of English and Vietnamese (preferably IELTS score from 6.0 or equivalent)
• Ability to catch up with new systems quickly and solid experience in using spreadsheets or accounting software
• High level of work ethic, accuracy, and responsibility
• Proactiveness and the ability to work independently
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and high attention to detail
