Position Overview
There is no denying the importance of a GeneralAccountant to a business. At TRG, you are one of the key players in our very vital department. Your responsibilities are more than just crunching numbers. We have a team of reliable accountants, and your scope of work will be General Accountant with a focus on Accounting Operations,General Ledger & Reconciliation, Tax Compliance,Internal Controls & Process Improvement, and Reporting. You will report to the Financial Controller and Chief Accountant. We believe you possess a high level of integrity, and honesty, and are a professional when handling the confidential data of both TRG and our clients.
What you'll do
Accounting Operations
Manage and oversee general accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accruals, and reconciliations.
Review journal entries and supporting documents prepared by junior accountants.
Monitor cash inflows and outflows to identify potential liquidity risks.
General Ledger & Reconciliation
Perform and review monthly BS reconciliations.
Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions.
Maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals.
Reporting
Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
Lead the coordination with external accounting service providers on transfer pricing reports and related documents.
Tax & Compliance
Prepare and review tax declarations, including VAT, CIT, PIT and other statutory filings.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities when required.
Support annual statutory audits.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
Support Sunsystems implementation, enhancements and process automation projects.
Support line manager with ad hoc requirements
Back up for other accountants within the accounting team when needed
Complete other accounting-related requirements from the Chief Accountant, Financial Controller, and Board of Directors
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a major in Finance – Accounting
Having CPA Australia, ACCA, or CIMA certificate is preferable
Around 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably experience in service companies. Experience as a General Accountant before is a plus.
Good command of English and Vietnamese (preferably IELTS score from 6.0 or equivalent)
Ability to catch up with new systems quickly and solid experience in using spreadsheets or accounting software
High level of work ethic, accuracy, and responsibility
Proactiveness and the ability to work independently
Excellent problem-solving, time management, and high attention to detail
