About The Role Â
The Corporate Staff Accountant will be handling the day-to-day accounting activities and month-end financial reporting requirements while being actively involved in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes. The position requires a strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounting functions from both a detailed and big-picture perspective. The Corporate Staff Accountant will be involved in analyzing certain transactions—such as accruals, capitalized software and share-based compensation—to ensure proper journal entries are recorded and taking an active role in monthly close and in preparation of monthly financial statements. The Corporate Staff Accountant will be involved in financial audits and be required to perform financial analyses and other ad hoc projects when necessary.Â
The ideal candidate will have the right mix of technical accounting, general ledger accounting, financial analysis, and communication skills to enable this person to communicate effectively with functional departments and collaborate with staff at all levels across various functions. We are looking for someone that is an enthusiastic team player with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.Â

Who You’ll Be Working With:Â
This role will work closely with the Sr. Accountant and the Manager of Operations. However, you will also collaborate closely with multiple departments within VIVIO, as well as external clients and vendors.Â
- Active involvement in day-to-day operational accounting activitiesÂ
- Assists in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for internal and external useÂ
- Prepares monthly and quarterly reconciliationsÂ
- Interprets financial transactions, resolves accounting discrepancies and identifies significant fluctuationsÂ
- Develops and implements processes with focus on automation, scalability, and efficiency to streamline accounting methods and increase productivityÂ
- Takes an active role in month / quarter / year-end closing processesÂ
- Â Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionalsÂ
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controlsÂ
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and forecastÂ
- Performs special projects and studies on accounting and control matters as requested
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/Finance requiredÂ
- 0-2 years’ experience in financial reporting and/or general accountingÂ
- Strong knowledge of US GAAPÂ
- Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teamsÂ
- Good oral and written communication skills requiredÂ
- Possesses Intermediate Excel skillsÂ
- Excellent time management, planning and organizational skillsÂ
- Ability to work in a remote environment.Â
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate and solve problems.Â
- Ability to analyze problems and multiple alternate solutions to be able to quickly make decisions.Â
- Ability to develop practices, workflows, and policies.Â
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- CPA, or working towards CPA licenseÂ
- QuickBooks experienceÂ
Compensation and Benefits:
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $55-$66K. The actual salary offered will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and the position's geographic location.Â
