Today, The Pavilion is a large, food-led pub with a fantastic location, a spacious conservatory and a covered outdoor area. And whenQueens Park Rangers have a home game, you can expect the pub to really come alive!

We're looking for an Assistant Manager who canlead from the front, support the General Manager and help drive the pub forward.

🚀 What’s the opportunity?

As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of The Pavilion, helping to create a pub that delivers great service, great food and great experiences every time.

You’ll:

• Support the General Manager with theday-to-day running of the pub.
• Take ownership of shifts and confidently lead the team in the GM's absence.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, helping people perform at their best.
• Maintain consistently high standards acrossservice, food, cleanliness and customer experience.
• Make sure the pub is ready to deliver during busy services, sporting events and key trading periods.
• Help drive sales and maximise opportunities across food, drinks, sport and events.
• Build strong relationships with customers and create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
• Ensure the team understands what's expected and delivers against our brand and operational standards.
• Support with stock, rotas, cash management and other day-to-day operational tasks.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure great communication between front and back of house.
• Help maintain high standards of health & safety, licensing and compliance.
• Get involved in QPR home matchdays and other major sporting occasions, ensuring the team is prepared for increased trade.
• Bring fresh ideas and energy to help grow the business.
• Act as a positive role model and help create a team culture where people feel supported, valued and motivated.

👊 What we’re looking for

We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader who:

• Has previous experience as anAssistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar.
• Has experience working in a busy pub, restaurant, bar or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Is confident leading a team and taking ownership of a shift.
• Has strong communication skills and knows how to get the best from people.
• Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
• Is commercially aware and understands how great service can drive sales and repeat business.
• Can stay calm, organised and hands-on when the pub gets busy.
• Is comfortable managing busy sporting occasions and large customer volumes.
• Has a good understanding of health & safety, licensing and operational standards.
• Works well with both front and back of house teams.
• Is proactive, energetic and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
• Has a genuine passion for hospitality and creating great customer experiences.
• Wants to continue developing their career andprogress with Greene King.
