Job Supervisor

If you answered yes, then this may be the job for you!  Our Chalk River location is looking for aJob Supervisor to provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of field operations while ensuring compliance with CNL procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations.Apply today!    

What you will be doing! 

• Reviewing and commenting on documents related to the CRL Decommissioning Facilities program.
• Responding to calls during non-business hours and resolving emergency calls.
• Maintaining, updating, and ensuring CRL Decommissioning Facilities program is following the preventive maintenance program and completing all maintenance, Storage-with Surveillance (SwS), and compliance activities on-time.
• Supervising and delegating work to a team of up to 20 staff.
• Supporting the development and implementation of training.
• Providing coaching as necessary.
• Authorizing timesheets, leave approvals, vacation, and overtime.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager.   
   

What we are looking for:

• Education 
  • Secondary School graduation with advanced level  in Math, Science, and English or equivalent.
• Experience 

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a nuclear environment or equivalent.

     

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

   

  • Computer literate in the Microsoft suite of products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures, plans, and work assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, unusual, or hazardous conditions and to lead others in such conditions.
• Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which hasa minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.” 
     

Working Conditions:

• Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.
