Training Officer Training and Coaching Officer in Jackson TN Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Pre-Service and Specialty training to newly hired DCS employees.
• Train staff on child welfare fundamentals and program-specific areas such asCPS, Foster Care, and Juvenile Justice.
• Provide training on trauma-informed case management practices and the DCS Practice Model.
• Cover engagement, teaming, assessment, planning, implementation, tracking, and adjusting.
• Provide coaching and constructive feedback based on field observations and identified practice gaps.
• Facilitate Mentor Certification Programs.
• Proctor Pre-Service assessments and support evaluation activities.
• Participate in Case Panel Presentations and Simulation Lab activities as applicable.
• Provide technical assistance for virtual training sessions.
• UseMicrosoft Teams and other digital platforms to facilitate training.
• Collaborate with training teams, program leadership, and regional leadership.
• Travel as required for training, coaching, and field observations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree – Required.
  • A copy of the degree must be submitted along with the resume for consideration.
• Minimum1 year of direct child welfare field experience, such as:
  • Case management
  • Child welfare investigations
  • Foster care
  • Juvenile justice
• Minimum1 year of training delivery, adult education, or staff development experience.
• Proficiency withMicrosoft Teams and virtual training platforms.
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing training in agovernment or human services environment.
• Training or certification intrauma-informed care.
• Knowledge ofMotivational Interviewing.
• Knowledge ofadult learning principles.
• Experience with child welfare training and staff development.
