Role overview:
The Senior Director, Events Delivery is responsible for ensuring the flawless operational execution of TM Forum’s global events portfolio, including our online offer. This role oversees all aspects of event delivery, including logistics, technical production, and exhibition management, driving efficiency, consistency, and quality across the entire events function.Â
Role PurposeÂ
To lead the operational delivery of TM Forum events, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and member experience. The role focuses on operational excellence, process optimisation, and team leadership across multiple delivery functions.Â
Functional AccountabilityÂ
Event Operations – Manage logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation for all events.Â
Technical Delivery – Oversee AV, staging, and digital platform integration for live and hybrid experiences.Â
Exhibition Management – Ensure premium sponsor visibility and delegate engagement through effective exhibition planning and execution.Â
Cross-Functional Coordination – Work closely with Sponsor Success and Content teams to ensure seamless delivery of all event components.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Lead the end-to-end operational delivery of TM Forum events globally to create exceptional experiences for our MembersÂ
Work with the Commercial Director to design new and deliver existing event formats to an agreed marginÂ
Ensure effective project management of the entire event delivery process spanning across multiple teams (your own and others)Â
Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient execution.Â
Ensure that external suppliers are competitively sourced and closely managed to deliver best value for our spend.Â
Source new venues and locations for new and existing events.Â
Implement process improvements and automation to streamline workflows.Â
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and risk management protocols.Â
Provide on-site leadership during event build and live days.Â
Develop and mentor a high-performing operations team, including Technical and Exhibition Management capabilities.Â
Continuous Improvement & Operational InnovationÂ
Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all event delivery processes.Â
Identify and implement automation tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload.Â
Introduce innovative operational practices to improve delegate and sponsor experience.Â
Monitor industry trends and adopt best practices for event operations and technology.Â
