New Graduate Project Engineer I - Traffic Analysis & Planning

Are you ready to take the first step in yourĀ civil engineering career with a company that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth?Ā Timmons Group is looking for a motivated and detail-orientedĀ Civil Project Engineer I candidate for our Richmond, VAĀ office'sTraffic Analysis & Planning Group.
Essential duties and responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis;
- Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation;
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems
- Research and prepare material specifications, installation guidelines, and inspection protocols.
- Work to complete design details and plan sets
- Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff
- Collaborate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff
- Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports that drive project success.
Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- A bachelorās or master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related degree with coursework in transportation/traffic preferred
- EIT preferred
- Knowledge of Traffic Analyses, Planning Studies, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing is preferred
