Civil Project Engineer II/III - Land Development

Timmons Group is currently seeking a motivated and detail-orientedĀ Civil Project Engineer II/IIIĀ to join ourLand Development team inCharleston, SC. The Project Engineer II/III will contribute to a wide range of land development projectsāfrom residential neighborhoods to commercial developments and public spaces.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesĀ of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems usingĀ Civil 3DĀ and other modeling tools.
- Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges.
- Preparing technical specifications and construction documents.
- Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion.
- Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning.
- Supporting field inspections and data collection.
- Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results.
Skills/RequirementsĀ of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ yearsĀ of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
- EIT certification preferred.
- Proficiency inĀ Civil 3DĀ and/or other CAD software.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
