The Role
As Financial Controller at Timac Agro | LYDA, you will be part of a growing finance team, reporting to the CFO and working closely with both local management and Group Finance. You will play an active role in the business, ensuring high-quality financial information and delivering insights that support decision-making and drive performance.
Responsibilities
- Financial Control & Reporting
- Own and manage the monthly closing and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data
- Prepare the monthly reporting pack for Group reporting purposes
- Prepare and review local financial statements under Greek GAAP
- Ensure strong financial controls and consistency across all financial reporting
- Act as the main point of contact for financial data integrity and reporting matters
2. Planning & Performance Monitoring
- Support and drive budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with the CFO
- Monitor financial performance and key KPIs, providing structured analysis of variances vs targets and prior periods
3. Support to Decision-Making
- Provide reliable financial analysis to support management decisions
- Ensure that decisions are based on accurate and consistent financial data
- Collaborate with the Business Analyst and other functions to ensure alignment of financial and operational insights
4. Process Improvement & Systems
- Improve and streamline financial reporting processes
- Enhance the use of tools (e.g. Power BI) for better visibility and efficiency
- Contribute to automation and standardization of finance processes
5. Role within Finance Team
- Act as a key partner and support to the CFO
- Take ownership of core finance processes and deliverables
- Ensure discipline, structure, and reliability within the finance function
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ACCA / ACA / CA (completed or in progress) is a strong advantage
- 5+ years of relevant experience in controlling, reporting, or audit (Big 4 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus
