The Role

Sitting within our People team, this role partners closely with leaders across the business to shape a workplace where our people can do their best work. You’ll bring strategic thinking and genuine care in equal measure, guiding leaders through everything from day-to-day people matters to culture and change initiatives. It’s a role for someone who wants to make a tangible difference to how TEG’s people experience work, every day.

Outcomes to deliver:

  • Be a trusted partner to leaders, providing timely, sound HR advice and hands-on support across the employee lifecycle – from onboarding through to offboarding.
  • Manage complex or sensitive employee relations matters, including investigations and disputes
  • Lead and support culture and engagement initiatives, including performance reviews, recognition programs, and employee surveys, that strengthen our people's experience.
  • Develop people strategies, programs and initiatives to support business priorities.
  • Support organisational design and change management initiatives 
  • Maintain compliance with HR policies and Fair Work obligations, deliver clear reporting on people metrics, and identify opportunities to improve HR systems and processes.

Capabilities to bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • A Human Resources or related Business degree, with 6 years’ experience in an HR Advisor or Business Partner-style role.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable influencing senior leaders 
  • Demonstrated experience across core HR functions – including HRIS, training, industrial and employee relations, and HR analytics.
  • Practical, working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards, with the ability to interpret complex industrial instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical, lateral thinking, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
