Assistant Cook

We are currently seeking a dedicatedAssistant Cook to join our nursery team working between our Harbourside Nursery and the onsite Cafe. In this role, you will support ourNursery Cook, in preparing food for the children in the nurseryand step into the Cooks position when needed as well as supporting theHarbourside Cafewith keeping up the stock of fresh sandwiches, sausages.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in a busyschool or nursery kitchen

• Knowledge ofFood Hygiene andHealth & Safety regulations

• Understanding offood allergens andCOSHH guidelines

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure

• Strongorganizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work bothindependently and as part of ateam

• Positive attitude, reliability, and trustworthiness

• Ability to manage daily tasks with aflexible approach to prioritizing workloads

• Good rapport with children

Position Details:

• Part-time: Monday – Friday 1100-1640, (27.5 hrs week 52 weeks a year) Hours would differ when covering the Nursery Cook

• Starting salary:£18,304.00 (based on 27.5hr week)
