About Text Blaze

Slash commands anywhere

Tech description:

Our tech stack is:

- JavaScript and React on the front end
- Google Platform on the backend with extensive use of BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Firestore and Cloud Storage

We take a rigorous but pragmatic approach to our systems. We want to keep things simple and easy to maintain with minimal levels of abstraction or complexity. We're talking complex problems, so that's not always possible but we're looking for people who share those goals.

* Experiment with different distribution channels: social, ads, email, in-product, and more.
* Increase users' success, engagement, and sophistication through educational content.

# Qualifications

* **Storyteller** - you know how to captivate and connect with your audience using words and visual design.
* **Designer** - you have a taste for what looks good and you can articulate your preferences.
* **Builder** - you get hmm… stuff done. You’re comfortable with tech and can learn new skills.

* Create an asset library.
* Create an AI agent to help you create product animations at scale.
* Start creating videos, social posts, and landing pages.

In the following 60 days, you’ll:

* Create our content strategy, segmenting and prioritizing our user base.
* Continue creating content.
* Experiment with different distribution channels: emails, ads, social.
* Come up and test other initiatives.

# What makes this job unique

* Join a growing, profitable startup that is loved by users.
* Be part of a small team of superstars and own Text Blaze's marketing end-to-end and from the ground up.
* Go crazy! We encourage autonomy and creativity.
* Remote-first company: work from the Palo Alto office or from anywhere in the world.

# About Text Blaze

Text Blaze is LOVED by users. It is the #1 ranked writing assistant in the Chrome Web Store. It is extremely easy to start using - users save text snippets and insert them anywhere on the web using keyboard shortcuts. BUT, there's a lot hiding under the surface - Text Blaze snippets can become mini-apps that codify, guide, and automate entire user workflows.

Text Blaze is already used by close to a million users, ranging from SMBs to large enterprises such as Block, HubSpot, Redfin, Mercado Libre, and many others.

# About the founders

Scott and Dan met at Google. Dan was a product manager, and Scott was an engineering manager. They worked on products for sales and support teams, with a focus on AI applications (this was before ChatGPT). Text Blaze started as one of Scott’s side projects, based on the insight that no product is perfect for the needs of every user and team, and there’s always friction that leads to low-value and repetitive work. Scott left Google to focus on Text Blaze. Dan advised him at first and then left Google as well to join Scott.
