Who We're Looking For

• You're a specialist transformer Electro Mechanical engineer with hands-on experience in active part design / Tank /External Design. Blends technical rigor with practical judgment, driven by an unwavering curiosity to learn and innovate every day.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparation transformer detailed engineering design (including necessary calculations) and drawings (preferably 400kV and above, with HVDC / offshore experience), ability to carry out / review Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and specify parameters critical to quality (CTQ) and Design Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (FMEA)
• Review of specifications, identification ofclarifications/deviations and action plans, with the ability to lead them to conclusion
• Selection and specification of components for ordering and manufacturing
• Key Performance Indicators of on-time delivery, right first time and budget adherence
• Leadingcommunication/co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, other departments such as projects, tendering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, etc).

Education and Experience:

• Electrical or mechanical engineer or person with similar experience (in Power Transformers)
• Experience of working on 3D, 2D tools (Inventor / equivalent, Autocad)
• Experience of Document management system (WindChill / equivalent)
• Transformer design knowledge (especially transformer design calculations, active part design including lead exits, insulation, windings, nesting of coils and tank design)
• Knowledge of IEC60076. Knowledge of IEC61378, rail car (Schnable car) design and offshore DNV standards will be preferred
• Should have worked independently on tender and project designs
