About the Role
As the Production Manager, you will oversee daily production operations to ensure safe and quality products are delivered to our customers, and a safe work environment is provided for employees. You will be expected to ensure appropriate plant staffing levels, operational efficiency, and supporting a One Tribe mentality to hit all operational goals and KPIs. You are the liaison between plant staff and operations leadership. You will work collaboratively with the Zieggy Leadership Team in making decisions benefiting our tribe, our customers, and our community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Ziegenfelder Production Manager is responsible for:
· Accomplishing manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, developing, enhancing training; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies, and procedures.
· Coordinating materials, maintenance, changeovers, and staffing on the production lines to achieve production goals, ensure safe and efficient production lines, and produce quality Ziegenfelder treats ready for delivery to customers.
· Monitoring quality data and coordinating with Quality Tribe to ensure appropriate production of Ziegenfelder treats.
· Coordinating preventive and corrective procedures with Maintenance Tribe to keep production lines running efficiently.
· Working with Plant Director to ensure Team Leaders have the leadership skills and abilities necessary to lead production teams to success.
· Driving accountability for successful production training, and development for all plant employees. Supporting a culture of continuous learning and development for successful personal and professional outcomes.
· Investigating safety incidents and accidents and ensuring appropriate reporting and documentation.
· Coordinating with the People & Culture Tribe to ensure appropriate staffing levels, personnel issue resolution, performance engagement, career pathing and overall, Tribe member success.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 5+ years of general experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
· Be available to work; day shift, afternoon shift or night shift to include weekends and holidays, required
· Be able to support a 24-hour operation, required.
· Proven experience with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures.
· Adaptable with a drive for accuracy and learning.
· Ability to be on call and available after business hours.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
· Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
· Ability to lift 30-50 pounds and move objects to a higher, lower or horizontal position.
· Ability to bend, twist, reach and grasp actions.
· Good spatial awareness working around manufacturing equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protective equipment.
· May be subject to cold temperatures of less than 32F with proper protective equipment.
