THE POSITION 

As the Co-op forthe Global Tax Services, you will be an appreciated member ofour team. Fundamentally, we specialize inthe taxation of financial products, but we are a springboard to positions in accounting, financial reporting, business services, legal, client service, and of course, investment product management.In six-months youwill understandhow taxis the intersection of these other positions andhave the opportunity to network across other areas of the firm.Our team looks to buildin youhard analytical& data-centricskillswhile fostering soft skills essential for professional development. You will find the work challengingbutvaried,tacticalyet multi-disciplinary. Our goal is to startbasicthen build knowledge and fluency – withqualityworkethic comesrobust jobexperience.Prior experience is less important thancuriosity anda strong desirebuild skillsthough a demonstrated strong work ethic.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Assist with the preparation and review of federal,state and local tax returns for partnerships and corporations.   

  • Assist with notices and inquiries from tax authorities 

  • Conducttax and investment-related research usingonline references 

  • Researchfederal,state, & local tax laws 

  • Liaise with members of Wellington’s broader finance team and other business lines 

  • Assist with workflow and data managementand otherprojects across Global Tax Services  

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel isrequired  

  • Working knowledge of MicrosoftPower Pointand Word is preferred 

  • Data Analytic skills andexperience withPython andsimilar languages a plus  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  

  • Independent thinker witha strong desire for activelearning on the job 

  • Great sense of humor 

 

Please note: This co-op position entails cross-training to ensure optimal performance across functions.The anticipated start date for accepted candidates is December 2026/January 2027.

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

$19-$35 per hour

This rangetakes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.   

 

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
