What you'll do...
Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and efficient exterior facility operations. This role involves managing seasonal maintenance activities, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The technician supports cost control through effective resource management and collaborates with management and third-party providers to uphold quality standards. By addressing facility needs and coordinating repairs, this position contributes to sustaining a secure and functional environment that meets organizational expectations and promotes operational excellence.
About the team:
The team is dedicated to maintaining facility functionality through routine and preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems. Guided by experienced leaders, members develop troubleshooting skills and gain hands-on experience with maintenance tools while adhering to safe work practices. Collaboration supports inspections, repairs, and documentation to ensure operational efficiency and safety. The team emphasizes continuous learning, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance, working collectively to sustain high-quality facilities that meet business needs reliably and efficiently.
What you'll do:
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, to ensure safe facility conditions.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational and safety requirements.
- Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure readiness and compliance.
- Coordinate purchases of parts, equipment, and supplies while controlling costs and submitting warranty claims.
- Lead and develop third-party providers and associates through coaching and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies, promoting a safe and ethical work environment.
What you'll bring:
- Proven ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Experience managing facility exterior services, including seasonal maintenance such as snow and ice removal.
- Ability to lead and develop third-party providers and team members through coaching and performance evaluations.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, customer service, and resolving facility-related issues promptly.
- Competence in budgeting, cost control, and sourcing materials and equipment for repairs and upgrades.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with management, associates, and external partners.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
21 years of age or older.Valid state-issued driver’s license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.
Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre- hire.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
