Pay Rate: $30.29-$49.88 hourly

Job Summary: 

The Cardiovascular Sonography Lab Technical Coordinator reports to the Cardiovascular Leadership team and works under the guidance of the Cardiovascular Sonography Lab Medical Director to ensure compliance to regulatory and IAC standards. 

The Cardiovascular Sonography Lab Technical Coordinator performs ECHO or vascular ultrasound exams and reports, assists physicians with invasive ultrasound procedures, updates and maintains IAC accreditation and maintains quality control within the cardiovascular lab.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.

Assumes role of a sonographer as needed. 
Performs periodic image quality control / quality assurance monitoring including PACS administration assistance.
Provides general staff orientation / education. 
Serves as liaison for hospital information systems applications that apply to the Imaging department.
Orders supplies and maintains inventory control for the Imaging department.
Ensure compliance for the department with regulatory agencies as required.
Provides input to department leadership with regards to evaluation, selection, and implementation of imaging and patient care equipment.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

Education:   Associate or Bachelors of Science degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited institution for cardiac ultrasound or on the job training with associates’ degree in Allied Health.

Licensure/Certification:  Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Experience: A minimum of two years experience under the supervision of a qualified physician with a concentration in vascular ultrasound. Previous experience with IAC accreditation preferred.
