About the Role
We are looking for aSenior QA Engineer (SDET) to support a critical automation projects. This role will focus onAPI testing, automation, and end-to-end quality assurance across the transaction lifecycle.
Role: Contratual role 
Exp: 5 yrs 

Key Responsibilities
  • API Testing
    • PerformAPI testing for integrations using tools likePostman / REST clients.
    • Testrouting logic.
  • Test Automation & Quality Engineering
    • Extend and maintainautomated test suites workflows and APIs.
    • BuildAPI automation frameworks (using JavaScript, Java, or Python).
    • Integrate automated tests intoCI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
  • Functional & Edge Case Validation
    • Testsuccess, failure, and edge-case scenarios (timeouts, retries, duplicate transactions).
    • Validateidempotency and error handling mechanisms.
    • Performexploratory and manual testing for complex workflows.
  • Data Validation & Reconciliation
    • Validatetransaction data across APIs and databases.
    • Write and executeSQL queries for backend validation.
  • Performance & Reliability Testing
    • Conductbasic load and performance testing for payment APIs.
    • Validate system behaviour  underhigh transaction volume.
    • Monitor and reportlatency, failure rates, and retries.
  • Production Rollout & Monitoring
    • Supportproduction deployment validation and pilot rollout.
    • Monitortransaction success rates and error logs post-release.
    • Collaborate onissue triaging and quick resolution.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of QA experience with strong focus onAPI and backend testing.
  • Hands-on experience withAPI testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
  • Good to have experience withPlaywright
  • Experience intest automation usingJavaScript, Java, or Python.
  • Experience withSQL and database validation.
  • Knowledge ofCI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
  • Understanding ofHTTP protocols, REST APIs, and JSON.
  • Familiarity witherror handling, retries, and distributed system behaviors.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
  • Experience withperformance testing tools (JMeter, k6, etc.).
  • Exposure toAgile/Scrum methodologies.
