Overview:

The Inventory Control Coordinator plays a vital role in managing andmaintainingaccurate inventory levels within the food manufacturing facility's warehouse. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, this positionis responsible for overseeing inventory control processes, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing best practices tooptimize inventory accuracy and efficiency. 

  

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures, policies, and best practices to ensureaccurate inventory levels and minimize stock discrepancies. 
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories of warehouse inventory to verify accuracy,identify discrepancies, and reconcile inventory records. 
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing transaction records, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff, production teams, and other departments to ensuretimely andaccurate receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory items. 
  • Monitor inventory movements, transactions, and adjustments in the warehouse management system (WMS) tomaintainaccurate inventory records and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures. 
  • Coordinate with procurement andpurchasing departments to reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices, and address discrepancies or pricing variances. 
  • Implement and enforce inventory storage standards, labeling requirements, and rotation procedures tooptimize warehouse spaceutilization and minimize inventory obsolescence. 
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to food safety regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and quality control standards in inventory management processes. 
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports, performance metrics, and KPIs to track inventory accuracy,identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to warehouse staff on inventory control procedures, data entry accuracy, and compliance with inventory management policies and standards. 

  

What You Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and procedures, including cycle counting, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation. 
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships. 
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP principles. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team to achieve inventory controlobjectives and support warehouse operations. 

We'd Like to See:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 
  • Certification in inventory management or related fields (e.g., Certified Inventory Management Professional) is a plus.
