Job Description

• Advise clients on the tax implications of their business objectives.

• Evaluate and select alternative actions to lessen tax burden and compliance costs.

• Identify methods of complying with tax regulations and act as the primary client contact for complex tax issues.

• Apply knowledge to understand potential tax issues, recognize and communicate potential risks and changes in tax policy.

• Involved in marketing, networking, and business development within your area of expertise.

• Provide written tax advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for a diverse client base.

• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of technical and practical tax issues and opportunities.

• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, providing exceptional planning, consulting, and expertise.

• Foster a team environment, supporting others in their work and delivering on commitments to the team and clients.

• Supervise managers and staff, manage workloads, and provide constructive feedback.

• Act as a Career Coach, aiding in staff development and goal setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.

• Master’s degree in accountancy preferred.

• CPA license required.

• 5+ years of hands-on tax experience, preferably with a large local, regional, or national public accounting firm.

• Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to identify complex client issues and recommend creative solutions.

• Commitment to delivering legendary service to audit clients.

• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources through active involvement in industry and social activities.

• Share knowledge and facilitate skill development and career advancement of team members.

• Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in CCH Engagement, CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Products including Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
