Assistant Manager - Microsoft Data & AI (Powered Data) | Hybrid - Makati

Roles & responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high‑performance data solutions, including ETL pipelines, data migration frameworks, and analytics‑ready datasets.
• Lead and drive client discussions to understand data migration, integration, and analytics requirements, and provide strong domain and technical guidance.
• Proven 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing data migration and ETL solutions, adhering to data architecture best practices, standards, and governance guidelines
• Support and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, aligning data engineering practices with industry standards.
• Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of data engineering trends, including ETL frameworks, database platforms, cloud data services, and agile delivery models.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, take ownership of end‑to‑end deliverables, and make informed technical decisions.
• Ensure efficient data processing, performance optimization, data quality, and reliability, while complying with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Educational qualifications 

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Certification in ETL tools or SAP data migration frameworks.

Work experience

• Proven 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing data migration and data engineering solutions, following established data architecture best practices, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (business, functional, and technical stakeholders) to gather data requirements, define source‑to‑target mappings, and finalize ETL and migration specifications.

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

• Strong experience in data migration and data engineering, including end‑to‑end data movement across multiple source and target systems.
• Hands‑on expertise with ETL / data integration tools such as CloverDX, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Alteryx, or equivalent platforms.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, aggregations, validations, and reconciliation queries for large datasets.
• Solid understanding of data architecture concepts, source‑to‑target mappings, transformation logic, and data modeling.
• Proven experience in data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and data quality validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Strong documentation skills, including preparation and maintenance of mapping documents, ETL specifications, and validation reports.
• Familiarity with relational databases and file‑based data formats (CSV, flat files, XML, JSON).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams (business, functional, and technical stakeholders) and communicate data‑related issues clearly.

Preferred technical & functional skills 

• Strong understanding of data warehousing and analytics concepts, including reporting‑ready data models.
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and exposure to cloud storage or data services used in migration projects.
• Awareness of data governance, metadata management, and security considerations during data migration.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑handling skills, with the ability to articulate data issues and solutions clearly.
