About the Role

We are looking for a talentedJava Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, working in a modern microservices architecture. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services usingJava and theSpring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, etc.).
• Design, implement, and maintainRESTful APIs.
• Participate in the design, optimization, and maintenance ofPostgreSQL database models.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications running onOpenShift.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers working withReact to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high code quality standards.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support continuous integration practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and proactively improve application performance, scalability, and security.
• Work collaboratively within Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience inJava backend development.
• Strong knowledge ofSpring Boot andmicroservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience withPostgreSQL.
• Experience designing and developingREST APIs.
• Knowledge ofDocker containers andOpenShift.
• Experience usingGit for version control.
• Familiarity withAgile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience withReact development.
• Knowledge ofCI/CD pipelines, particularlyGitHub Actions.
• Experience working in cloud environments such asAWS orAzure.
• Experience with cloud-native application development and containerized deployments.
