We put our customers first – exemplified by our mission: “We Protect Those Who Protect Us®.”  Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come enhance your career with usBAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line, within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area, has an immediate opening for a Technical Director that is highly versed in the overall Systems Engineering process and associated phases of the program life cycle. In this position, the candidate is expected to support our Aviation Weapons portfolio. The candidate will be expected to use his or her experience in systems engineering to mentor and develop more junior staff members. The job will also include providing ongoing support to supplier activities as needed to meet delivery schedules and design review requirements. The successful candidate will also play a significant role in any and all proposal efforts that include any systems engineering requirements. Â

Required Skills and Education
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field and a minimum of 12 years' work experience
- Experience working across the entire Systems Engineering Lifecycle
- Model Based Systems Engineering experience and familiarity with Digital Engineering principals and strategies
- In-depth understanding of the requirements development process in response to customer operational needs and mature operational concepts, and derive technical baselines necessary to meet the requirementsÂ
- Experience assisting in the flow down of requirements to testable modular hardware and softwareÂ
- Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines
- Experience understanding and generate CONOPS   Â
- Experience in conducting trade studies, building and delivering technical presentations, proposal development, and related activities
Preferred Skills and Education
- Experience with Semi-Active Laser SystemsÂ
- Experience in DASAL Technology and Laser Guided MunitionsÂ
- Familiarity with Aeronautical properties and Computational Fluid DynamicsÂ
- Ability to Coordinate suppliers and teams in development of passive/active sensor systems for test/evaluationÂ
- Experience leading technical teamsÂ
- RF, Electro-Optic and Infrared technical knowledge
