ROLE PURPOSE
- Own all technical operations for FC Seeds Türkiye, covering varietal trialing, regulatory registration, early decision processes for variety promotions (HPC), and systematic field data collection.
- Translate technical performance data into clear and credible insights that inform portfolio decisions and sales campaign planning.
- Represent Türkiye in regional technical platforms and ensure the country technical agenda is aligned with AMEA strategy.
- Serve as the primary technical authority connecting R&D, regulatory bodies, and the commercial organization to support mid- to long-term business growth.
- Be accountable for driving all technical campaign content including digital marketing content.
- Ensuring all sales team are fully prepared for each sales campaign and able to maintain strong customer experience through the growing season.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Trial Planning & Execution
- Design the annual trialing strategy covering all key field crops (corn, sunflower, cereals) across relevant geographies in Türkiye, in alignment with regional R&D and portfolio priorities.
- Lead the planning, placement, and monitoring of agronomic trials including registration trials, pre-launch evaluations, and competitive benchmarking studies in collaboration with TSR’s and R&D team.
- Coordinate with regional agronomy teams and local team to ensure trial quality and data integrity.
- Visit trials actively throughout the season; conduct timely evaluations and assessments.
- Build trialing strategy to be able to see Syngenta portfolio vs. market conditions and trends. Define strategic areas to support short-to-long-term plans and report outputs regularly.
- Consult customer complaints investments as technical support.
- Championing the technical capability of team, coach and support team on agronomy. Define relevant training & field tours for continuous learning.
Data Collection & Management
- Own the systematic collection, consolidation, and analysis of all trial and demo field data using relevant tools (EzCapture, Qlik Sense, SFDC, Product Analyzer or equivalent).
- Maintain trial databases and ensure accurate, on-time data entry for all materials under evaluation.
- Translate trial outcomes into technical summaries, positioning reports, and product recommendation documents to be used by portfolio and commercial teams.
- Analyze demo field results versus internal trial results; identify performance trends and early signals for variety promotion decisions.
Pipeline Management & Variety Promotion Processes
- Lead the early decision process (HPC / Hybrid Promotion Committee inputs) for Turkiye, providing data-driven recommendations on variety advancement, demotion, or lifecycle actions.
- Provide technical rationale to support New Product Introduction (NPI) timelines and launches.
- Ensure Target Product Profiles (TPPs) are accurately defined and reflect Turkish market conditions, feeding inputs into the breeding and development pipeline.
- Actively monitor competitor variety performance in the field; incorporate findings into technical positioning and competitive intelligence reports.
Regulatory & Registration Management
- Ensure full compliance with Turkish seed registration requirements (MoA / TTSM / BUGEM regulations).
- Coordinate registration trial design and submission in line with legal timelines and Syngenta internal approval processes.
- Maintain a forward-looking registration pipeline aligned with the 5-year portfolio plan.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry bodies (TSUAB, BISAB) as the technical representative of Syngenta FC Seeds Türkiye.
Regional Representation & Collaboration
- Represent Türkiye in regional technical forums, support marketing team in preparation of Battle Plan, Idea Sharing, SPP Calls, HPC Meetings, and Season Reviews.
- Ensure two-way flow of information between Turkiye and AMEA regional teams on technical insights, variety performance, and market-specific agronomic needs.
- Collaborate with regional R&D teams to provide local performance data that influences regional portfolio decisions.
- Partner with the Portfolio Manager and commercial teams to ensure technical findings are incorporated into sales tools, campaign messages, and grower-facing materials.
Technical Training & Stewardship
- Develop and deliver technical training for internal sales teams, channel partners, and key growers on variety performance, agronomic best practices, and product stewardship.
- Support product stewardship programs to ensure responsible use of registered varieties and compliance with HSEQ standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), research institutions, and extension services to support Syngenta technical credibility in the market.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES
Critical Knowledge
- Strong agronomic background with in-depth knowledge of field crop species relevant to Türkiye (corn, sunflower, cereals).
- Good understanding of Turkish seed registration regulations and MoA / TTSM / BUGEM processes.
- Familiarity with variety trialing methodologies, experimental design, and statistical data analysis.
- Understanding of product development pipeline and HPC / TPP processes.
- Knowledge of competitive variety landscape across key crops in Türkiye.
Critical Experience & Skills
- Bachelor degree or higher in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Plant Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in agribusiness, with a focus on trialing, technical agronomy, or product development in the seed industry.
- Demonstrated experience in field trial management and data-driven product evaluations.
- Experience in regulatory registration processes for seeds in Turkiye is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in data management tools (Excel, Power BI, Qlik Sense, or equivalent); analytical mindset.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to convey technical content to non-technical commercial audiences.
- Fluent in Turkish; good command of English required for regional reporting and collaboration.
