Your mission:

To strengthen our Synechron team, we are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineerto join us in supporting one of our clients, a global leader in transaction intelligence in Mechelen. We value diverse perspectives and encourage candidates from all backgrounds, experience and identities to apply.

Your responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and optimizing core features of the enterprise-grade transaction observability platform.
• Solvingcomplex engineering challenges related to large-scale, real-time data ingestion, indexing, and search.
• Buildingrobust, high-performance backend components leveraging advanced search technologies such asElasticsearch and Apache Lucene.
• Collaboratingclosely with your Scrum team to deliver impactful product improvements that directly enhance the customer experience.
• Takingownership of technical decisions and contributing to the architectural evolution of the platform.
• Writingclean and well-tested code while actively contributing to the engineering best practices and standards shared across the team.

Your profile :

• You have strong experience inJava development (Java 11 or higher), with a proven track record of building high-performance, production-grade systems.
• You demonstrate asolid understanding of software design principles and are comfortable owning technical decisions end-to-end.
• You have experienceworking in agile environments and you communicate clearly while maintaining a collaborative team mindset.
• You take aproduct-oriented approachto development and focus on delivering value to the customer, not only on writing code.

You would stand out if: 

• You havehands-on experience with Elasticsearch or Apache Lucene.
• You have experience working with high-volume, real-time data processing systems.
• You are familiar with financial messaging formats orhave experience in the fintech or regtech industry.

Language and residency:

• You speakEnglish and Dutch fluently; working knowledge of French would be considered an asset.
• You hold avalid work permit for Belgium.
• You are able to workon-site in Mechelen office within a hybrid working model.
