ABOUT US

We’re the world’s leading provider of secure financial messaging services, headquartered in Belgium. We are the way the world moves value – across borders, through cities and overseas. No other organisation can address the scale, precision, pace and trust that this demands, and we’re proud to support the global economy.

We’re unique too. We were established to find a better way for the global financial community to move value – a reliable, safe and secure approach that the community can trust, completely. We’re always striving to be better and are constantly evolving in an ever-changing landscape, without undermining that trust. Five decades on, our vibrant community reflects the complexity and diversity of the financial ecosystem. We innovate diligently, test exhaustively, then implement fast. In a connected and exciting era, our mission has never been more relevant. Swift now has a presence in 200+ countries and legal territories to serve a community of more than 12,000 banks and financialinstitutions.

Join Swift’s Digital Asset Unit

The Digital Asset Unit drives one of the top company priority and aims to deliver products to help our community embrace the digital economy.

For its core product, the Swift Ledger, Swift needs effective community management to foster adoption. It requires structure, communication, convincing, creativity, project management and very clear articulation of messages. Banks adopting the ledger have to go through a deep process of understanding its implication for their own processes. They will also need their suppliers to be fully equipped with the relevant information to help them succeed.

This function will be a core element in ensuring the success of the Swift ledger.

What to expect

This is a hands-on role with high visibility and both internal and external exposure. It requires strong adaptability, as the team operates at a fast delivery pace in a domain that is innovative for both Swift and the banking community.

The team is intentionally small to preserve agility. This means all team members are expected to drive their own agendas with a high degree of independence, while working collaboratively and reaching out to others when needed. The team brings significant experience, and the selected candidate will be expected to leverage that experience while contributing their own expertise. As the topic is innovative, the content and direction may evolve regularly. Agility, in the broadest sense, is therefore essential, and navigating change should ideally be one of your motivational drivers.

In this role, you will foster adoption of the Swift Ledger and play a key part in advancing one of the company’s core missions. The role has both internal and external dimensions. Internally, you will articulate the value proposition and service description, and coordinate the onboarding process with relevant stakeholders. Externally, you will explain the solution to customers, help them understand onboarding requirements, and discuss its purpose and implications for their organisations. You will also help engage the broader ecosystem by progressively involving vendors and integrators in collaboration with partner management teams.

As part of the Swift Ledger Product Management team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Define onboarding approach, plan and execution for banks
  • Articulate service description and supporting presentation material
  • Articulate rulebook and explanatory content for customers
  • Be an advocate of the solution in events and customer facing conferences
  • Define processes and procedures required to onboard banks across Swift
  • Work with legal, provisioning and other internal teams to validate the approach
  • Contribute to the evolution of the solution by sharing and reflecting on customer feedback
  • Organise the engagement with vendors and partners
  • Help build the right narrative for banks to adopt the solution
  • Contribute to the solution qualification and day-to-day enhancements

What will make you successful?

We are seeking professionals with:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management roles
  • Strong knowledge of Swift and its solutions as well as expertise in payments.
  • Professional English language skills
  • Self-starter with a structured, process-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Strong ability and willingness to learn
  • Striving through change and willing to help shape solutions
  • High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information
  • Experience of operating at various levels within the organisation (e.g. mid to senior levels, remote employees) and with external vendors (such as law firms, authorities, third-party vendors)
  • Experience working in multicultural and/or international environments
  • Organised and passionate for continuous improvement and high-quality work deliverables
  • Inclusive, collaborative, delivery-focused and with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Operational excellence skills (e.g. capable of building relevant reports, continuous improvement mindset) & project management experience
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with reporting to governance bodies and authorities
  • Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and to demonstrate independence of judgement and autonomy
  • Process-driven mindset, capable of designing and applying procedures in their day-to-day activities
  • Comfortable using digital tools and databases to manage control and risk information

If you thrive in a fast-paced, international environment and want to make an impact in a high-visibility role, we’d love to hear from you.
