• Friday: 4:30 AM until maintenance is completed

Job Summary

A leading company in the environmental control industry is seeking a Mechanical Welder to perform mechanical repairs, welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on plant and production equipment.

This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in minimizing equipment downtime, maintaining safe and efficient operations, and supporting production goals. The ideal candidate has experience with mechanical maintenance, industrial equipment, welding, fabrication, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance and repairs on mechanical and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems and identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding for equipment repairs and fabrication projects.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair machine parts, components, fixtures, guards, and other equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
• Inspect machinery and equipment regularly to identify potential maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and extend equipment life.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and completed work.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs in a timely manner.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable workplace requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance and welding experience preferred.
• MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding experience required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, machinery, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and dependable workmanship.

What We Offer

• $25.00–$33.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Consistent early-morning schedule.
• Hands-on work involving mechanical maintenance, welding, fabrication, and industrial equipment.
