Quality Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experiencedQuality Engineer to support product quality and manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet company, customer, and regulatory quality requirements.

The Quality Engineer will work closely withproduction, engineering, suppliers, and customers to identify and resolve quality issues, improve manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintainquality standards, procedures, and control plans
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and product quality to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Investigate product defects, customer complaints, and process issues usingroot cause analysis
  • Leadcorrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness
  • Utilize quality tools including8D, 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, FMEA, SPC, and Pareto analysis
  • Develop and maintainPFMEA, Control Plans, work instructions, and inspection standards
  • SupportAPQP, PPAP, MSA, and capability studies for new and existing products
  • Analyze quality data and identify trends to support continuous improvement
  • Partner with production teams to implement process improvements and reducescrap and rework
  • Performinternal, process, and product audits
  • Work with suppliers to resolve incoming material and supplier quality concerns
  • Investigate customer complaints and product nonconformances
  • Train employees on quality procedures, standards, and requirements
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and records
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, includingIATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with production, engineering, suppliers, and management

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge ofQuality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience with quality standards such asISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100
  • Experience withRoot Cause Analysis (RCA) andCorrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Knowledge of8D, 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC
  • Experience developing and maintaining process and product quality standards
  • Ability to interpretengineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
  • Experience with inspection and measurement tools
  • Understanding ofMeasurement System Analysis (MSA) andGage R&R
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data-driven problem solving
  • Experience conductinginternal, supplier, or process audits
  • Ability to investigate customer complaints and nonconformances
  • StrongMicrosoft Excel skills and experience with quality-related software
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience or certification
  • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) certification
