Assistant Director (Business Registration - Plant) | NAFSA

This position is being recruited by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA). NAFSA is being established as a strategic national initiative to strengthen Pakistan’s agri-trade ecosystem through enhanced regulatory oversight, facilitation, and modernization of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will be part of NAFSA’s foundational team, contributing to the development of systems, processes, and institutional capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in processing registration/renewal applications for plant-related businesses and facilities and verify completeness and compliance evidence.
• Support maintenance of national registers and databases and ensure proper record management and documentation control.
• Coordinate with inspection/surveillance/diagnostics/ITC units to obtain compliance inputs and follow-up on deficiencies.
• Prepare draft decision notes, routine correspondence, and notices for supervisory review.
• Support monitoring of ongoing compliance and compilation of periodic reports and summaries.
• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer in support of NAFSA's mandate.

Education:

• B.Sc. (Hons.) (Minimum sixteen years) in Agriculture with specialisation in Entomology, Plant Protection, Plant Pathology, Weed Science or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in regulatory documentation, registration/compliance systems, or related work.
• Strong documentation and computer skills; attention to detail.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
