yes. every kid. is seeking aâŻCommunications Manager to lead day-to-day communications execution and ensure consistent, high-quality storytelling across platforms in support of our advocacy and public affairs priorities.Â
Reporting to the Senior Director of Public Affairs, this role focuses on traditional communications functions, including media relations, content development, and digital communications. The Communications Manager will play a key role in translating strategy into clear, compelling public-facing materials and ensuring timely execution in a fast-moving environment.Â
The ideal candidate is a strong operator with excellent writing and editorial skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating closely with public affairs, research, and external partners.Â
How You Will Contribute:
Support the execution of public affairs and advocacy initiatives, including content development, coordination, rollout, and rapid-response effortsÂ
Ensure message consistency, accuracy, and quality across all communications outputsÂ
Oversee day-to-day digital and social media execution, including creating content for blogs and newsletters, managing content calendars, and coordinating with external vendorsÂ
Manage earned media activities, including media monitoring, press outreach, reporter engagement, pitching, and spokesperson preparationÂ
Coordinate with designers, videographers, and other vendors to produce communications assets as neededÂ
Collaborate with the organization's research team to translate research findings, polling, and analysis into accessible public-facing contentÂ
Manage content workflows, timelines, and approvals to ensure timely execution across multiple initiativesÂ
Maintain and organize communications templates, assets, and documentationÂ
Assist with reporting and tracking communications outputs and performance metricsÂ
What You Will Bring:

5-7 years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, advocacy, or a related fieldÂ
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail and editorial judgmentÂ
Experience with digital communications and social media strategy, including experience managing or coordinating with external vendorsÂ
Experience managing earned media and working with reporters in fast-paced environmentsÂ
Demonstrated ability to create visual or graphic materials for external audiences  Â
Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneouslyÂ
Ability to take strategic direction and execute independentlyÂ
Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in high-stakes or time-sensitive situationsÂ
Comfort working collaboratively in a remote organizationÂ
