The Role

As we expand into Ontario alongside our UK operation, we're hiring an Ontario Compliance Manager in Malta, reporting directly to our Head of Compliance. This is an all encompassing role: you'll be the trusted pair of hands across the Ontario Compliance function, fully supporting the Head of Compliance on Ontario (AGCO / iGO) workstreams. You'll make sure nothing falls through the cracks, turn regulatory change into clear actions for the business, and keep our policies and people aligned with constant regulatory evolution.

Must-have

  • 3+ years of compliance experience inside a licensed online gambling operator. 
  • Direct exposure specifically within the Ontario market. AGCO, iGO, key event reporting, RG and AML operational experience.
  • Strong written English; highly organised; comfortable owning trackers, registers and deadlines.
  • Right to live and work in Malta.

Nice-to-have

  • AML/CTF exposure; ICA or similar certifications; cross-jurisdictional policy work.
  • Working knowledge of the UKGC LCCP. Social responsibility, AML, customer interaction, advertising.
  • Experience in ISO or SOC 2 compliance and yearly audits.

  • Strategic sequencing: you can break a complex multi-jurisdiction compliance programme into prioritised, testable workstreams.
  • Hands-on by default: you're comfortable being in the detail, policy text, register entries, regulator submissions, not just managing from afar.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the application process for Ontario and support UK Compliance in the lead up to going live. 
  • Own the Ontario Quality Assurance Framework, identifying gaps and tracking remediation alongside the Head of Compliance.
  • Maintain and deliver the Ontario compliance training programme (AML, responsible gambling, advertising, conduct).
  • Coordinate end-to-end handling of compliance incidents, logging, triage, remediation tracking, and produce post-incident reports for senior management and regulators where required.
  • Run compliance due diligence on new and existing suppliers (game providers, payments, KYC, affiliates) and maintain the vendor register and review schedule.
  • Draft correspondence, returns, and key event notifications for the AGCO / iGO; manage the central log and make sure deadlines never drift.
  • Support preparation for and follow-up on regulator inspections, external audits, and internal compliance assurance work.
  • Track regulatory news, consultations and rule changes across  Ontario, and distil them into clear, actionable summaries for the Head of Compliance and impacted teams.
  • Help maintain our compliance policy stack, keeping policies current with Ontario requirements, supporting annual reviews, and operationalising changes across the business.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Payments and Player Experience on day-to-day compliance questions and reviews.
