We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Comptroller to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of a nonprofit organization while ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory and nonprofit accounting standards. This role is open to all candidates in the Philippines and all over Latin America.
What Youāll Be Doing:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll oversight
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and financial analyses for leadership and Board review
- Monitor cash flow, oversee banking relationships, and maintain strong financial controls and compliance procedures
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory agencies as needed
- Support organizational financial planning, process improvements, and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
- Support the client with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed, in alignment with the role and overall business objectives
Who Weāre Looking For:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting, finance, or controllership experience
- Previous experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health environments is highly preferred
- Experience with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills required; NetSuite experience is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, audit preparation, cash flow management, and internal controls
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
- Available to work in US time zones (Graveyard shift in the Philippines)
- Available to start within 2 weeks from job offer
Technical Requirements:
- Comfortable in using time-trackers (e.g. Time Doctor)
- Own laptop/desktop, noise-cancelling headphones, and webcam
- Reliable internet connection (at least 50 Mbps)
- Available backup equipment in cases of power and internet outages
