Who weĀ areĀ looking forĀ Ā 

We are looking for aĀ Junior TraderĀ reporting toĀ the Head of Foreign Exchange in the Seoul office. You willĀ assist the senior traders in market making in Foreign Exchange. Providing liquidity to clients and branchesĀ and subsidiaries of State Street.Ā You will learn taking andĀ managingĀ risk in the process.Ā Ā

Ā The team you will be joining is a part ofĀ Foreign Exchange Trading, a function that is vital to the company asĀ State Street is a significant player in the Korean Foreign Exchange market.Ā 

What youĀ willĀ be responsible forĀ 

Ā As aĀ Junior Trader, you will:Ā 

- Assist senior traders in managingĀ theĀ trading bookĀ 

- Provide accurate, timely, and competitive pricing to Sales and clientsĀ 

- CollaborateĀ with trading and sales teamsĀ across global officesĀ 

- Support the day-to-day operations of the trading desk, including:Ā Ā Ā 

  • RunningĀ start-of-day and end-of-day reports.

  • MaintainingĀ pricing on the eFX platform.Ā 

  • GeneratingĀ trade ideas andĀ preparingĀ dailyĀ marketĀ commentary.Ā 

  • MonitoringĀ trading limits.Ā Ā 

  • MaintainingĀ trading records and preparing requiredĀ documentation.Ā 

  • PerformingĀ ad-hoc tasksĀ and projectsĀ as required.Ā

Education & Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience in financial markets, treasury, trading, or related fields.Ā 

  • A Certified Derivatives Investment Advisor qualification (Korea) is preferred.Ā 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.Ā 

  • Programming skills such as VBA, Python, SQL, or other automation tools are preferred.Ā Ā 

  • Fluent in both Korean and English, written and spokenĀ

•   Must be eligible for international travel.Ā Ā

Work RequirementĀ 

  • Trading activity prohibits any work from home arrangements.Ā Ā 
    100% presence in the office is requiredĀ Ā
