Supply Chain Lawyer

Position Purpose:
Provide primary legal oversight for supply chain operations across SRS Distribution’s verticals in North America. This role also serves as the legal resource for private label agreements, EHS compliance, and ESG reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Contracting and Transactions:
Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements with vendors, including product supply agreements, private label distribution agreements, broker agreements, NDAs and strategic partnership agreements. o Develop and help administer supplier qualification and compliance programs, including contractual compliance programs and supplier audit programs. o Develop, maintain, and enhance internal policies and processes related to contract lifecycle management and compliance. o Oversee supply chain litigation matters, including managing outside counsel, preparing and managing budgets, interacting with insurance carriers and developing case strategies and resolutions.
Compliance and Regulatory Advisory: o Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. federal and state laws and regulations affecting the Company’s operations, including advise on EPA regulations and their state-level counterparts (e.g., Cal/OSHA, Texas TCEQ, Prop 65), FMCSA, FCPA, DOT, import/export regulations, OSHA, and EPR regulations. o Advise on labeling and packaging requirements as applicable to the Company across all markets. o Navigate local municipal codes and environmental permitting (including hazardous waste permits) for branch locations and operations. o Provide immediate legal counsel following major incidents, represent the business in administrative hearings or litigation and provide training as is necessary.
Sustainability: Act as liaison to support accurate reporting of key environmental metrics (Scopes 1, 2, and 3 GhG emissions), water, waste, etc. from each of the SRS verticals.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time. Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
Must be able to operate basic office machinery.

Minimum Qualifications
The completion of a juris doctor or equivalent and required certifications for practicing law.
8-10 years of related work experience. Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling supply chain contracts with an emphasis on compliance and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated familiarity with complex commercial transactions.
Knowledge of contract management and ability to implement and administer contract management programs.
Ability to oversee supply chain litigation matters.
Familiarity with supporting sustainability initiatives.
Self-starter willing to do the smallest and biggest of tasks equally and effectively.
Dynamic and engaging individual.
