Senior PeopleSoft Developer (PeopleCode / PL-SQL)Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft Developer with 10+ years of experience to support multiple initiatives involving enhancements, maintenance, customization, and support of existing PeopleSoft applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, SQR, Integration Broker, and Oracle PL/SQL, with experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials environments.The role will focus on enhancing existing PeopleSoft functionality, supporting business processes implemented through PeopleCode, maintaining delinquency-related processes, and supporting custom cash application solutions within the Accounts Receivable domain.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development & Enhancement• Design, develop, and maintain custom PeopleSoft solutions using PeopleCode.• Implement enhancements and modifications to existing PeopleSoft applications.• Analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.• Develop and maintain custom components, pages, records, menus, and business logic within PeopleSoft.• Participate in full SDLC activities including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.PeopleCode Development• Develop and enhance business processes implemented through PeopleCode.• Troubleshoot and optimize PeopleCode programs for performance and maintainability.• Modify existing customizations and develop new custom solutions as needed.• Support business process automation within PeopleSoft.Oracle Database & PL/SQL Development• Design and develop PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.• Create complex SQL queries to support reporting, troubleshooting, and data analysis.• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code.• Support database-related troubleshooting and issue resolution.Accounts Receivable & Business Process Support• Support PeopleSoft Financials applications with emphasis on Accounts Receivable functionality.• Develop and maintain:o Delinquency management processeso Collections workflowso Customer account management functionalityo Cash application customizationso Financial transaction processing enhancements• Collaborate with business teams to implement process improvements.Integration & Technical Support• Support PeopleSoft integrations and interface development.• Utilize Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, and Application Engine processes where applicable.• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions.• Participate in code reviews and technical design reviews.Testing & Quality Assurance• Develop unit test plans and execute testing activities.• Support system integration testing and UAT cycles.• Prepare technical documentation and deployment packages.• Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.Required QualificationsExperience• 8-10 years of PeopleSoft development experience.• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on PeopleCode development experience.• Experience supporting enterprise PeopleSoft implementations.• Experience working in enhancement, maintenance, and production support environments.Technical SkillsRequired• PeopleCode• Oracle SQL• Oracle PL/SQL• Application Engine• Component Interfaces• PeopleTools• Application Designer• Data Mover• PeopleSoft Security fundamentalsStrongly Preferred• PeopleSoft Financials• Accounts Receivable (AR)• Billing• General Ledger• Collections/Delinquency Management• Cash Application ProcessesIntegration Technologies• Integration Broker• Web Services (SOAP/REST)• File-based integrations• XML and JSON processingPreferred Qualifications• Experience with PeopleSoft FSCM applications.• Accounts Receivable implementation or support experience.• Experience working on custom PeopleCode solutions.• Experience with Oracle database performance tuning.• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.• Experience using Jira or Azure DevOps.Desired Competencies• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.• Excellent debugging and problem-solving capabilities.• Ability to understand and work with existing custom code.• Strong communication and collaboration skills.• Ability to contribute quickly within an established development team.• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ideal Candidate ProfileA hands-on PeopleSoft Developer with 10+ years of experience, strong expertise in PeopleCode and Oracle PL/SQL, and proven experience enhancing and supporting PeopleSoft applications.
