Sr Application Support

Summary:

• Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and business support for users of company Foreign Exchange (FX) Derivatives and Risk Applications, ensuring quick resolutions to app issues.
• Maintain application systems that are in daily operations, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations.
• Perform start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover.
• Conduct same-day risk reconciliations and develop technical support documentation.
• Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate as necessary.
• Formulate and define scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution.
• Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure availability to users.
• Participate in application releases, from development to deployment into production.
• Engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.
• Act as a liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups, and vendors.
• Provide evaluative judgment in complicated and unique situations.
• Exhibit comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
• Act as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an Application Support role.
• Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business applications, batch management, and monitoring tools.
• Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-IT staff.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and experience with issue tracking and reporting tools.
• Good all-round technical skills in Linux, Database/SQL, Networking, and basic understanding of any scripting language.
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
