Role overview

We are looking for aNetwork Administrator to join one of our EU public sector clients based in Brussels. You'll ensure operations of the network, including telecommunication and/or computer infrastructure to meet the organisation’s communication needs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operate, maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure components.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve network incidents and performance issues to ensure service continuity.
  • Ensure communication performance, resilience, and security requirements are aligned with agreed service level standards.
  • Utilize network management and monitoring tools to analyze network load and evaluate performance metrics.
  • Proactively monitor network traffic to identify and mitigate bottlenecks and optimize overall performance.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade network components and network monitoring solutions.
  • Perform testing and validation activities following infrastructure upgrades and changes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of network availability, reliability, and security.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong hands-on expertise withPalo Alto andF5 technologies.
  • Solid experience withCisco networking solutions.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and communication protocols, includingWAN, LAN/WLAN and VLAN.
  • Knowledge of network security principles, VPN technologies, and cryptographic communication techniques.
  • Experience operating and managing network devices and services, includingrouters, switches, load balancers, accelerators, firewalls and cryptographic communication devices.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and performance management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues.

Certifications you'll need:

At least 1 certification from the following:

  • CCDP/CCNP, CCNA, CCDE/CCIE, CCAr or relevant certifications of F5, Juniper, Palo Alto
  • BIG-IP certified administrator
  • BIG-IP LTM Specialist: Maintain and Troubleshoot
  • BIG-IP LTM Specialist: Architect, Set up, Deploy
  • SANS certification related to Network Security
