Speech Language Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and committed to evidence-based practices that support student/client success. They will support the residential therapist team and will function under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Clinical Services.

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating activities for individual and/or group speech and language therapy sessions (i.e., looking up ideas on Pinterest, Teachers Pay Teachers). 
• Work with students individually or in small groups (no more than 3)-following the treatment plans written by the Speech Language Pathologist. 
• Lead group therapy sessions (reading a book, directions for activities).
• Documentation for those students in which you work with.
• Experience preferred with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Works.
• Ability to learn about an AAC device, and provide instruction.
• Able to learn how to use a Cricut to cut out materials for therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Be at least 18+ years of age

Other Job Details:

• Day hours 9am-5pm Monday through Friday
• Starting pay: $ 17.25/hour
