Specialist I - Software Engineering-.Net Technical Lead

Summary:

UST is looking ahands-on .NET Technical Leader with strong experience in solution architecture, modern .NET development, legacy modernization, and enterprise application delivery. The ideal candidate can assess complex systems, make sound architecture decisions, guide engineering teams, and step into code to resolve critical technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Own.NET solution architecture, technical direction, design standards, and end-to-end delivery.
• Design and develop enterprise applications usingC#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework Core, and asynchronous programming.
• Assess and modernizelegacy .NET Framework applications and define incremental migration strategies.
• DesignAPIs, microservices, modular monoliths, databases, messaging, and enterprise integrations.
• Drive applicationperformance, scalability, reliability, security, and observability.
• Lead technical troubleshooting of production issues using logs, metrics, traces, profiling, and database analysis.
• Mentor engineers throughdesign reviews, code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.
• Partner with QA, DevOps, security, UX, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• UseAI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar to accelerate development while maintaining appropriate review and quality controls.
• Own technical risks, estimates, dependencies, release readiness, and production handover.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including2+ years in technical leadership, solution design, or enterprise application ownership.
• Strong hands-on expertise inC#, .NET/.NET Framework, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience withREST APIs, microservices/modular architecture, clean architecture, SOLID, and design patterns.
• Strong experience withSQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent relational databases, including performance tuning.
• Experience withautomated testing, CI/CD, Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge ofauthentication/authorization, secure coding, observability, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience withlegacy application modernization and migration to modern .NET.
• Practical experience usingAI-powered development tools and validating AI-generated code.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, problem-solving, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leadingcomplex .NET modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
• Experience withKubernetes, event-driven architecture, messaging, API gateways, gRPC, or GraphQL.
• Experience withenterprise authentication, multi-tenant, regulated, or high-volume transactional applications.
• Experience establishingarchitecture standards, reusable accelerators, automated quality gates, or AI-assisted engineering practices.
• RelevantMicrosoft, cloud, architecture, or AI certifications.
